Emeritus Professor Michael Jones hails from the right side of the Border Country, and is well known for his lecturing & researches in Medieval History. After initial study at Oxford he has spent most of his professional life at the University of Nottingham with regular incursions into Normandy and Brittany.

Fuller details of his learned contributions may be found on the University's website. He has made previous presentations to the Society, and he is well qualified to speak on the Nottingham/Wales context of his talk.
